Happy March!!! What a beautiful (if a little windy) day it is!
Heart healthy month was a success! I saw many people making heart healthy food choices last month while shopping and it was wonderful to see. We had quite a few tickets for our drawing. This morning we drew a winner for our contest for a $20 gift certificate and the winner is Jennie Dickenson!
Saturday March 3rd. is customer appreciation day! We will have a free cup of soup available to co-op members ($5 value). Co-op Members will also receive 10% off co-op goods as well. Also, Chippewa Soap Co. in Dayton, WA is offering their bar soap for 50% off for the whole month of March! What great deals!!
We have made Corned Beef and Cabbage Soup, and Lentil Vegetable Soup for the market this weekend. And Mandi From the Weinhard Café has provided her soft and delicious ciabatta bread to go with our soup, or on its own. A bowl of soup with a slice of bread is only $5!! A delicious option for lunch or to-go for later!
Our beautiful produce cooler is freshly stocked with local and organic produce from Hayshaker Farm and Spokane Produce. We have a nice selection including 5 # bags of Yukon gold & red potatoes, limes, lemons, oranges, mangos, grapefruit, baby kale, swiss chard, leeks, romaine lettuce, wild & fancy salad mix, spinach, arugula, celery, jalapenos, bell peppers, green onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, parsley, squash, and much more! Amazing prices for local and organic produce can always be found here!
Umapine Creamery just restocked their cheese, and they brought us some cheese curds! There is a limited quantity so get them while you can!
Last year we offered corned beef for St. Patrick's Day. Is anyone interested in getting one again this year? Please let me know by next weekend if you are and I will put in the order. Also, if there is anything else you would like to see please let me know. I am always interested to hear your ideas.
Easter is coming (April 1st) and we will have all of your cooking needs right here. Rockin’ R Ranch will have fresh Easter hams for sale. We are taking pre-orders now. They will be 3-4 Lbs. each. Blue Mountain Station offers you an exciting opportunity to experience food like you never have before, bringing together regional artisan food producers, local produce, art and craft vendors, a commercial kitchen and a Co-op market providing local food, products and services to grow a healthy, sustainable community! Our 28 acre site is located next to Highway 12 right outside of Dayton, Washington. Products made on-site in our food processing bays, produce grown on-site in our garden, and other regional food and craft products are offered to the public through the BMS Co-op Market on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am – 4 pm.
