Dayton on Tour

For years, the Dayton Historical Depot Society has celebrated autumn with "Dayton on Tour,” an opportunity to go inside four or five historic Dayton homes on the first Saturday in October. But because of COVID-19, the event can not happen in 2020.

Instead, community members and visitors are invited to take a tour of Dayton’s two historic residential districts and historic downtown district on their own. Visitors can find a brochure box with self-guided tour maps and dining brochures on the Depot courtyard at 222 E. Commercial Ave. The tour map includes historical and architectural facts about many of Dayton's oldest buildings. The dining brochure gives options for take-out that people can enjoy in the Depot courtyard or in Caboose Park, next to the Depot. Brochures are also available at the Dayton Chamber of Commerce Office, 166 E. Main St.
